Witness the power of Mjölnir-rang : This video posted by Jastino Hasni seems to feature a homebrewed boomerang. There's also another similar one posted on Pintrest by Franco Nero: NorsePlay would totally buy these, so if either of these possible creators ever decides to vend, do let us know! In the Norse Lore,  Mjölnir  is crafted by dwarves Sindri & Brokkr with its amazing returning attribute, and  aetiologically this explains why lighting appears to return from its skyward origin point.   #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven. Since t hen he's been fascinated by the truthful potency of Norse Mythology, passionately read & studied, embraced Ásatrú, launched the  Map of Midgard  project, and spearheaded the neologism/brand NorsePlay.   If you have e mployment/ opportunitie...

racing futhark.

Artist Will Wright explores a form of NorsePlay he titles "Folk Graff", an attempt to heal "the cultural timeline from the Neolithic period to present day via contemporary street art." After being loaned a 1983 Porsche 944, Wright bought toy versions to redesign into a Northern European shaman's "Wizardmobile"! We love the elder futhark racing stripe, and he's tagged the doors with a single eye -prominent raven logo. On top of his urban designs, Wright's stated wish to "heal" not only corrects the misuse of Nordic culture by racists & fascists, we also see it as helping to fill in the huge temporal gap between the conversion and modern day by establishing an artful & aesthetic beachhead we can move forward from, and that's something the greater concept of NorsePlay totally agrees with and supports in its very idea. a bearserker in your Legos.

A hammer -wielding bear named Icerlot from LEGO 's Legends of Chima evokes a northern Berserker image . We think his ice-leg is an interesting detail. #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven. transform into a cyberbearserker.

The idea of the Berserker Norseplays its way into the Transformers universe. In 1987 Hasbro exports Battle Beasts as BeastFormers, including this axe-wielding armored Grizzly Bear. The temperature sensitive sticker on the breastplate revealed a hidden fire, wood, or water icon used in a rock, paper, scissors type game for the 2" figures. #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven. drip some tricks with Draupnir.

Everytime one throws a good sleeper, a priceless ring of centrifugal force is created. Cluing into that bit of magic, there is Yoyorecreation's Draupnir , named after the priceless ring that drips duplicates of itself every ninth night. Viking Princess Barbie.

Image
Viking Princess Barbie. (Yes, really.) From the Mattel Barbie Dolls of the World Princess Collection, the back of the box has a nice context of Barbie being a jarl's daughter, living in a longhouse inside a Trelleborg, and so on & so forth. What's funny about this product shot is the wings on her helmet are pushed just a bit too far forward. [from 2003, still available on Amazon for $35, if you can af-fjord it.] #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven.
