Ride Of The Valkyries painted by Jose Luis Munoz Luque. The casual realist fantasy of this is a nice contrast to the frenzied skyward ride we nearly always see the battlemaidens depicted in. And there's some album cover  that never was with Michael Parkes aesthetics and detailing that also frames this piece. #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven. SPI Games put out in 1981 a hex-and-counter boxed NorsePlay game of Ragnarok: Twilight of the Gods ! We remember seeing this on a store shelf back in the day and needing more allowance. Have any of you played this? [Compare to TSR's similar offering only a year later.] #    #    # Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in  the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires'  Norse Gods and Giants  at age seven.
