for the it's-my-idea record: thinking up my Map of Midgard.

For the record, this is the aggregate post I wrote to the Asatru Lore, Asatru & Heathen, and Norse Mythology communities on GooglePlus in January of 2016:

Have posted this Map of Midgard idea to my three Norse-related communities, and while it's garnered some plus one support, haven't really gotten needed response/s, and thought to re-post this as public in case the previously plus-tagged can't reply within those groups, or if anyone else circled but outside of those groups can offer some assistance. If so, do let me know.
Wondering if anyone's ever constructed a Norse Midgard map with lore-relevant sites on it, like Asbyrgi canyon stamped by Sleipnir's horseshoe and other such locations? It would make an inspiring source for trip itineraries.

If not, I want to commission this as a hand drawn map from an old style cartographer I met, which I'd have a different digital version shared online for everyone's use, but aside from the aforementioned Sleipnir's horseshoe, Surt's lava tube cave Surtshellir, an Alfar stone in Reykjavik, the frozen trolls of Reynisdrangar, giants' castle Dimmuborgir, mountain giantess Skessuhellir of the black cave in Grof, can't think of any more locations just off the cuff. Could include a couple major sacred sites (Uppsala Temple, Donar's Oak, Irminsul) too, but can't seem to find a comprehensive (or any for that matter) list of locations where our gods, giants, dwarves, monsters intersect with mappable Midgard locations. Am wondering if any accomplished loremasters (+Ásatrúarfélagið Íslandi? +Ladyofthe Labyrinth? +Norse Mythology? +Kenneth W. Harl? +Andrew Valkauskas?), or you, or someone you might know has already compiled such a list of locations?

No one had a Norse Lore map or a location list.

And so I began making one.

Guillermo Maytorena IV knew there was something special in the Norse Lore when he picked up a copy of the d'Aulaires' Norse Gods and Giants at age seven. Since then he's been fascinated by the truthful potency of Norse Mythology, passionately read & studied, embraced Ásatrú, launched the Map of Midgard project, and spearheaded the neologism/brand NorsePlay. If you have employment/opportunities in investigative mythology,  field research, or product development to offer, do contact him.
